Clinical, Long Term Care, and Food Service Rotations

Clinical Rotations:

At Holy Spirit Hospital, I was exposed to various disease states, and learned how Medical Nutrition Therapy could help improve each

patient's progress. During my clinical rotations, I learned the importance of working with the multi-disciplinary team, to help tackle all

aspects of a patient's health. In addition, I was given the opportunity to shadow various Registered Dietitians in Holy Spirit's outpatient

facility, which made me realize how much I truly love one-on-one nutrition counseling.

Long Term Care:

Throughout my Long Term Care Rotation, I became more familiar with skilled nursing facilities, and how they differ from acute care. I had particular interest in learning more about documentation in a long term care facility, and learning more about the MDS. It was incredible forming relationships with the residents, and seeing the care and compassion that each and every staff member had at Bethany Village.

Food Service Management:

At Bristol Meyers Squibb at Princeton Pike, I was able to witness Food Service Management at a brand new facility. During this rotation I had the

opportunity of completing a Retail Marketing and Wellness Project, learn more about budgeting and scheduling, and work in all areas on the real operation. I particularly enjoyed interacting with customers during lunch time, and promoting health and wellness throughout Bristol Meyers Squibb.
